Fabric Reinforced Control Motion Robot

During my gap year I entered the Soft Robotic Toolkit High School Design Competition. My entry was the Fabric Reinforced Controlled Motion Robot (FRCMR), a completely soft, worm-like robot that is able to move around and climb over obstructions in its path. The FRCMR is resistant to environmental hazards such as crushing and cutting. To fabricate the robot I used silicone molding techniques, 3D printing, and sewing. It is controlled using an Arduino that I coded. This project was awarded first place in the 2016 Soft Robotics Toolkit Design Competition, High School Division and is showcased on the Soft Robotic Toolkit website.
